YPF QUÍMICA is a leading company in the production of chemicals in Argentina. We produce, market and distribute petrochemical products for the chemical, industrial and agricultural markets in Argentina and in more than 20 countries, including the US and Europe. We have an annual production of more than 2.2 million tons (t/y), with three industrial complexes in Argentina: CIE - Ensenada Industrial Complex (950,000 t/y) located next to the YPF Refinery; CILC - Luján de Cuyo Industrial Complex (90,000 t/y), in Mendoza and CIPH - Plaza Huincul Industrial Complex (411,000 t/y), in Neuquén near Vaca Muerta. In addition, the fertilizer unit in Bahía Blanca (Profertil, a 50-50 joint venture with Nutrient), which produces more than 1 million t/y of urea. Among our products the following stand out: Aromatic, alicyclic and aliphatic solvents; Olefins, Methanol, and specialties such as PIB, LAS, LAB, Maleic Anhydride and other developments for the Upstream. In 2022, we will launch an annual Sustainability Report, publishing the progress made by YPF’s chemical business in this area, as well as the key challenges moving forward.
